Day 61 : Enjoy Your Holidays

Day 61 : Enjoy Your Holidays

Enjoy Your Holidays (Without Turning Them Into Another Task)

Holidays have a strange way of becoming noisy.

Plans.
Messages.
Expectations.
Photos you feel like you should post.
Moments you feel like you should enjoy more than you actually are.

Somewhere along the way, rest became something to perform.

I want to offer a gentler reminder today.

You don’t need to optimise your holidays.
You don’t need to “make the most” of every hour.
You don’t need to come back feeling transformed, refreshed, or ahead.

Sometimes, the best use of a holiday is simply not rushing.

To wake up without urgency.
To sit with people you love without checking the time.
To let conversations wander.
To let silence exist without trying to fill it.

If you’re building something — a business, a creative life, a new version of yourself — it’s easy to feel guilty when you slow down.
As if rest is a delay.

It isn’t.

Rest is not a reward for finishing everything.
It’s part of how you stay human while doing the work.

Enjoying your holidays doesn’t have to look a certain way.
It can be quiet.
It can be ordinary.
It can even be a little boring.

That’s often where the real nourishment is.

So wherever you are right now — at home, with family, traveling, or just taking a few slower days — allow yourself to be there fully.

No productivity goals.
No pressure to improve.
No need to explain how you spent your time.

Just presence.

The work will still be there when you return.
And you’ll return steadier for having paused.

Wishing you calm days, soft moments, and space to simply be.
